The young & married

I am happy that the twenty-something in my church are all getting married. I feel like a mum watching her kids fly the nest. However, I do object to their ‘attitude’ when they have tied the knot. They are suddenly disrespect,  some even go to the extent of ignoring me, I am like ‘I knew you when you were still in nappies!!  Rather than to rise to the bait I have come to the conclusion that they are not really grown up after all only kids behave the way they do. When a child is throwing tantrums the best thing to do is ignore him/her so I have taken this approach besides I have got better things to think about, I will rather deal with adults than kids. On the plus side there are others who are still the same, now these ones I have got time for.

Speaking of which, I tend to keep my distance when my friends get married. I just think they should enjoy their first year of marriage without me been a part of it.  Let’s face they are of no use to me cos all they do is forever talk about their husbands, check the time or phone every ten minutes, I just never feel relaxed in their company. However, when they start having babies I am more than happy to be there, even babysit if they want cos I love kids!! Alleluia

God bless always.
